Day 2-3 Two nights in the bustling capital of Kenya allows plenty of time to shop and admire local sights, including the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Center.
Day 4-5 Samburu Drive north through verdant Kikuyu farmlands and rolling hills to the renowned Mount Kenya Safari Club and a visit to the animal orphanage before arriving at Samburu. Game viewing offers the chance to view Somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk and Grevy's zebra.
Day 6 Lake Naivasha Travel to the Rift Valley, a region of numerous lakes and vertical cliffs, resultant from geologic upheaval 20 million years ago. Activities would include a wildlife walk and a boat ride along the shores of the lake. A good chance of seeing the Lammergeier (bearded vulture), Africa's largest flying bird.
Day 7-9 Masai Mara Reserve The Masai Mara Reserve is Kenya's top game viewing destination. Three wildlife activities per day are sure to conjure magical sightings of lion, leopard, elephant and many other species.
