Grand Cayman!

A diver's dream, Grand Cayman attracts underwater adventure lovers from all over the world. With over 200 dive sites, the clear, warm waters off the Cayman Islands protect a magical world of grottos, caverns and caves teeming with exotic marine life from sponges and coral to eagle rays and barracuda. If you're not into getting your hair wet, try exploring Grand Cayman's vibrant underwater world aboard a submarine. Comfortable air-conditioned semi-submersible vessels offer rides down the Cayman Wall - 100 feet below the surface!

Famous Seven-Mile beach, one of the world's top rated beaches, will keep watersport enthusiasts and sun-lovers captivated during daylight hours.

The capital city, Georgetown, is the fifth largest financial center in the world. Here you'll find charming traditional architecture as well as historic sites, museums, restaurants and some of the Caribbean's best shopping.

After sunset, from casual eat-and-run dining to elegant five-course meals, and from open-air cafes to restaurants in Old World plantations, there's something to suit every taste on Grand Cayman. For evening entertainment, take a romantic cruise, or head to Seven Mile Beach for nightclubs, comedy clubs and live music. You simply mustn't go home before you've heard the local jazz! And theatre buffs should check the listings for Harquail Theatre.

Sights that delight

Cayman Turtle Farm - Originally named "Las Tortugas" (the turtles), The Cayman Islands were overrun with green sea turtles by the time Christopher Columbus arrived in 1503. By the early 1900s, the population of wild turtles was becoming depleted. The Cayman Turtle Farm was established in 1968 to repopulate the islands with these gentle creatures. On your visit here, you can see tiny hatchlings and 600-pound centenarians - and even pat their wrinkled necks!

Hell - Everyone should go to Hell. And almost everyone who does sends a postcard to prove it! This quiet little town named for its spiky rock formations offers an old Guard House, a monument to Queen Victoria, and Gun Square, with its two 18th-century cannons. At nearby Meagre Bay Pond, enjoy prime birdwatching, particularly for teal and mallard ducks.

Fun extras

Stingray City by Catamaran - Take a 20 minute relaxing boat ride to the Stingray City Sandbar, which is home to around 50 large Southern Stingrays. After a brief lesson on Stingray etiquette you'll learn to pet and feed your new marine friends. End your cruise by going to nearby "coral gardens" shallow reef to snorkel.

Discover Cayman Island Tour - Enjoy the highlights of beautiful Grand Cayman in air-conditioned comfort! See famous seven-mile beach, the Governor's mansion and the key landmarks of Georgetown. You'll also visit the Cayman Turtle Farm, the only commercial sea turtle nursery in the world. Stop at "Hell" to view strange rock formations and visit the Tortuga Rum shop!

Cayman Kayak Adventure Tour - Experience nature up close on a guided eco-tour, whether you are a novice or familiar with kayaking. The narrated adventure will introduce you to Cayman's mangroves and barrier reef ecosystems. Children of any age will have a fun and safe time, and can opt to ride along with parents in double kayaks.
